Input Breaker Tripped: What Would You Do?

It’s been a quiet start to the year at ABC Data Centre… until now.

“Yikes!” says Billy, Shift Engineer, as an alarm flashes: ‘Input breaker tripped – Critical Switchboard A.’ Seconds later, UPS alarms follow.

Billy races to the switch room. He knows customer, ACME Insurance, relies on single-corded racks and power loss could be catastrophic. Billy is concerned (Keeping customers happy is his main priority!)

As he enters, he smells smoke. The input breaker is tripped. UPS batteries? About 9 minutes left.

Billy resets the breaker, ready to close it and restore power…
